2. Dialogue and narrative techniques: using direct speech, recognizing irregular past tense verbs and their present forms, finding phrases that show emotion or indifference, detecting changes in story flow (e.g. conjunctions like “Then”)
3. Inference and analysis: interpreting dragon’s attitude toward Tom, understanding tone of interaction, evaluating Tom’s character (e.g. adjective + text evidence), judging dragon′s behavior as kind or not with textual support
4. Vocabulary and sentence structure: identifying words for strong grip (e.g. clung), phrases indicating enclosure (e.g. shut in), phrases for speaking loudly or casually, prepositions and connecting words
5. Literary features: recognizing story-writing devices like interesting events, time shifts, direct speech, and use of short sentences for excitement
6. Creative writing: planning and continuing the story from the rooftop scene, adding possible events, character development, and imaginative progression in tone and style consistent with the original text
