2. Functional reading: interpreting informal messages, public notices, promotional offers, and instructions in realistic situations (e.g. booking, planning, replying)
3. Dialogue interaction: completing a customer–receptionist conversation using natural spoken responses, appropriate tone and logic
4. Informal writing: emails with grammatical accuracy, correct register, sequencing ideas logically, using cohesive devices (e.g. “because”, “so”, “if”)
5. Reading for detail and gist: identifying characters’ opinions, feelings, and actions in descriptions by teenagers about sport or new experiences
6. Narrative comprehension: article about young radio presenter Mary Jones, interpreting motivation, challenges, achievements, and future goals
