Progression Test Stage 7 English as a Second Language 2025 Paper 2

1. Listening comprehension with visuals: identifying places, actions, and objects from short conversations; picture matching (school trip location, cooking choice, preferred sport, task status, grandparent activity)
2. Short dialogue interpretation: listening for purpose and outcome (e.g. lift request, homework task, club opinion, coach advice, film appreciation)
3. Form-filling from monologue: details from a school trip (e.g. topic of exhibition, activity in space, model building, film subject, student souvenir)
4. Interview with teen volunteer: first volunteering role, personal benefit (purpose, skills), charity interaction challenges, Kind Kids website impact, feature volunteers value most
5. Speaker identification in multi-voice section: teens describing instrument learning experiences (e.g. practising, playing with others, long-term commitment, improvement surprise)
6. Skills focus: CEFR A2–B1, real-life context listening, specific detail retention, attitude and opinion recognition, structured question sequencing across five task types
